The Linden Method: What I Found Out

Posted on Saturday 5 December 2009

If, like I was, you’re sick and tired of trying a seemingly endless stream of remedies and/or treatments. None of which work. Or having trained doctors telling you that there’s nothing wrong with you and prescribing medications that, again, just don’t work. Then read on.

You’re about to discover how, after being a slave to anxiety for over twenty years, I learned, a) EXACTLY what was wrong with me and b) how to fix it, quickly. Using The Linden Method.

Hi, my name is Darren Jones and just as I said before, I began suffering from anxiety disorder and panic attacks in the 1980s. Prior to that time I was noted for my happy-go-lucky outlook and lived life, most of the time at least, as though I didn’t have a care in the world.

I won’t bore you with how it all began and the milestones I passed along the way which eventually led me to being totally housebound and hating my existence. But suffice to say that those days were a nightmare and if you or a loved one suffers in that way, my heart goes out to you.

During that time, I won’t be so bold as to say that I tried everything, but the list of treatments was, to say the least, long. And if I were ever to sit down and recall how much money I’ve spent over the years on these treatments, I’d most likely burst into tears.

Here’s a partial list of what I tried:

  • Prescription medication
  • Acupuncture
  • Homeopathy
  • Kinesiology
  • Reflexology
  • Emotional Freedom Technique
  • Dietary control
  • Etc, etc, etc.

The list goes on and on. And all of them had one thing in common: none of them worked. And, what was more important was that each time something failed I was left feeling deflated. As time moved on and I encountered one disappointment after another, I became very sceptical toward anyone offering to treat me and, eventually, more or less resigned myself to living the rest of my life in sadness and fear.

OK. Enough bad news, let’s get onto something more positive.

I discovered the Linden Method website purely by accident and found that the more I read, the more I wanted to read. You see, Charles Linden’s story was very similar to mine and the thing that impressed me the most was that he, himself used to suffer from agoraphobia and panic attacks.

Side Note: I remember a good few years ago speaking with a recovered agoraphobic and she told me that the only person who could cure an agoraphobic was an ex-sufferer. This makes perfect sense to me now because until you’ve lived with agoraphobia, you simply have no idea what it’s like to feel that way. Let alone overcome it. I remember the conversations I used to have with my wife, she so wanted to understand what I was going through and I so wanted to tell her in a way so that she could understand but I could see from her body language that what I was saying made no sense to her at all.

Where was I? Oh yes. Charles being an ex-sufferer impressed me and went a long way to getting me past my scepticism. There were two other features that impressed me: 1) The Linden Method comes with a full money back guarantee and 2) 12 months one on one support is included in the price. I only used the latter a couple of times early in my recovery but it was very comforting knowing that if the going got a little tough, there was someone trained in applying The Linden Method there to talk or email to.

After a couple of hours weighing up the pros and cons I finally bit the bullet and got my credit card out. They offer two versions of the Linden Method: downloadable or physical shipment. The information itself is the same regardless of which media you choose.

So What’s Inside

The Linden Method manual:

  • 215 Pages (226 total including content pages, resources, etc)
  • 16 Audio Tracks
  • 12-Month Money Back Guarantee
  • 1 year of 24 hour email/telephone support
  • Backup CD, sent by mail (downloaded version only)

Within the manual, the main body of The Linden Method is described in detail. Charles has titled these The Nine Pillars. I’m not going to go into the Nine Pillars in any depth here. Suffice to say these need to be read, understood and applied.

Learn From My Mistake

Now, when I first read through the information I approached it with an “I know everything there is to know” kind of attitude. This is the first thing that should be gotten rid of, as I learned the hard way. The Nine Pillars are a complete recipe and skipping some of them or mixing them with other techniques only serves to dilute the Linden Method’s effectiveness.

Eventually, when I figured out that I wasn’t getting the results I expected, I re-read the manual, applied the Nine Pillars and, hey presto, the magic could do its stuff, the panic attacks ceased and the anxiety started to shift.

Once the Nine Pillars have been described in detail, the manual then goes on to explain what else can be done to improve the Linden Method’s performance. These include sections on diet, breathing and posture, to name but a few. The breathing exercises being, without a doubt, my favourite. The audio files include visualization exercises.

From my experience, the most wonderful thing about The Linden Method was that as soon as the materials were read, understood and applied (properly ;) ), improvement started straight away. And all those anxious and panicky feelings began to depart. I don’t think I’ll ever forget how good that felt.

Would I Recommend The Linden Method?

Would I recommend The Linden Method to anyone suffering in the way I used to? Without a moment’s hesitation, yes.
